15 Fun Things To Do in Williamsburg

As a 10 year resident, (Wow! Time Flies) I have seen Williamsburg from the start of the 07'-08' recession when all building stopped. New Town was in its early stages and if you wanted to shop Michael's or Home Goods, you had to drive to Newport News. Target at Monticello (and I pronounce it Monta-chello not Monti-cello if you are wondering) was pretty new and Starbucks was where the Duck Donuts is now.

I could never claim I have been here forever, my accent would tell you that, but I have been around long enough to be able to give you some great advice on my top 15 Fun Things To Do in Williamsburg.

In No Particular Order--- I would love to know how you would put these in order! Do them and tell me!

1. Visit Jamestown Settlement--- If you are local you get in FREE! How amazing is that! I love FREE! If the day is nice, start outside and weave through the living museum outside and tour the Powhatan Indian Village. Ask questions and find out why they lived the way they did. W…

Ski: Snowshoe, WV

Snowshoe, West Virginia is the best place on the East Coast to ski. With over 57 trails and over 180 inches of annual snowfall, the mountain is always ready for skiing. We had such a blast.

We stayed at Loggers Run with a couple of friends and enjoy this place because it is a true ski in ski out. It is so nice to be able to allow the kids to come and go as they please by staying at a ski in ski out. Granted they are more expensive but you don't have to lug your skis and poles and walk across the parking lot in your heavy boots. Sage had a headache one day and she just skied back to the house and popped a couple of ibuprofen.
