It's Showtime! What To Do and What Not To Do

The sign is up and you are ready to show your home off! In any market, a hot one or not, you need to have your house prepared to show as soon as you are live! What should you do and not do for a showing?

Upgrades and Repairs:

If your home has undergone some major changes since you purchased your home, you may want to list these out. Many people will never even look at these but if they are interested they will. Upgrading your brass knobs on your kitchen is not a big deal to the buyer, but a new furnace, hot water heater or brand new roof is. Any transferable warranty should also be noted.

The list doesn't have to be long as I've stated, most people will not even notice it unless they do and if they do, they are not going to read a long list. A simple record is fine. If a professional was called in to do work, show receipts.

Neighborhood Info:

Not everyone looking at your home is familiar with the area. Show off your neighborhood with any information you have such as if there is …

Newport Beach and Hermosa

My favorite picture of the entire trip.

The clouds are stuck.

We are BACK!

So wish we could come more often.

The deck I couldn't sit on for days because it was so cold!
Eerie.

Joe and I flew into John Wayne a couple of weeks ago and since I got back I feel as if I have been playing catch up. Sage is graduating from middle school in a couple of days and Ava from elementary school too. It's been one practice, concert and work related event after another. You know how live is: nothing and then everything.

I wanted to share some of the photos from our trip. We had a blast even though it was rainy and cold most of the time. The sun and warmth came out for our friends wedding and the last day I was able to sit on the deck and catch some rays. Happy we missed the oil spill in Santa Barbara that has led down to Manhattan Beach. I would suggest anyone who hasn't been out to So-Cal to go. It's a beautiful place filled with succulents, roses, and pretty awesome folks.

This is what Sage wants to see for her 16th birthday.

Outside our house.

Eat Chow: Best Place in Newport Beach to EAT!

It was nice enough to wear my bathing suit and I did: Everywhere. Sorry.

The groom and my hubby.

Hermosa Beach from the Pier.

Hope you have a great weekend. Heading to the lake for the first time. Getting ready to take my PSI for the real estate exam on Tuesday. Scared.
