It's Showtime! What To Do and What Not To Do

The sign is up and you are ready to show your home off! In any market, a hot one or not, you need to have your house prepared to show as soon as you are live! What should you do and not do for a showing?

Upgrades and Repairs:

If your home has undergone some major changes since you purchased your home, you may want to list these out. Many people will never even look at these but if they are interested they will. Upgrading your brass knobs on your kitchen is not a big deal to the buyer, but a new furnace, hot water heater or brand new roof is. Any transferable warranty should also be noted.

The list doesn't have to be long as I've stated, most people will not even notice it unless they do and if they do, they are not going to read a long list. A simple record is fine. If a professional was called in to do work, show receipts.

Neighborhood Info:

Not everyone looking at your home is familiar with the area. Show off your neighborhood with any information you have such as if there is …

Ahoy Galveston!

It has been too long since I took these photos! :(

What a great time we had about the Carnival Magic! Joe had never been on a cruise but I had years ago (20 to be exact and it was pretty much to the day when we set sail... isn't that strange? I didn't plan on it being like that.). Joe kept calling me the Cruise Expert because that is how he is. I was no Cruise Expert.

We didn't check our bags like almost everyone else did so we got to drag our luggage around for the first couple of hours we boarded the ship. Yes, we looked like newbies even if our Blue Cards didn't give us away. Instead of keys for your room or using and kind of money on board, Carnival has a Sign and Sail program. You are outfitted for the trip with your key, sort of like a credit card. This card opens your room, turns on your lights, gets you a table at dinner and of course gets you a drink!

Being a little gun shy like Joe can be when is in an environment he doesn't know, I picked out two lounge chairs on the Lido Deck and motioned for him to take a seat and chill. We were starving so I stood in a line at the Pizza Pirate. The pizza on the Carnival Magic is great. We snacked on a Quattro Formaggi and a Prosciutto. The pepperoni is good too. Servers are constantly walking around offering the daily drink special but we decided not to start too soon.

It was really no time before we were able to get into our room and unpack. After that we were required to attend out Muster Station safety program and then it was time to set sail!
